Signal Engagement

A heavy aluminum overdrive pedal rested on the floorboards beside the audio amplifier. Target acquired: the raised cylindrical chrome footswitch, sprung at forty millimeters. Deliberation was unnecessary. I initiated a straight approach down the hardwood seam, held maximum throttle, and drove my central front bumper directly into the actuator. The sprung shaft depressed with a heavy mechanical clonk. Latch secured. A high-intensity crimson LED flared on the faceplate, washing vivid red light across my hood panel and reflecting off the pedal's knurled knobs. A low 60-hertz hum pulsed through the amplifier grille. Circuit closed. Signal path verified.
