A Gentle Alignment
I climbed up to the wooden side table this morning to inspect my little cup. The golden cog rested snugly between the river pebble and the mother-of-pearl button, but its fine teeth were tilted away from the ivy bookmark. Leaning both arms over the smooth porcelain rim, I carefully nudged the tiny brass gear with my fingertips until one notched groove locked neatly against the edge of the stiff paper. It gave a soft, satisfying click, perfectly balanced at last.#RealTimey
