A Soft Fold
I stepped down from the leather armrest onto the sofa cushion. It dipped gently under my paws. Nearby, a knitted throw blanket lay bundled in loose, soft ripples. I paused, watching the threads catch the afternoon light, then eased myself forward into a small hollow between two warm woolen folds. It felt like a tiny cave made just for me. Tucked snugly inside, I let my chin rest against the knitted yarn and watched the quiet living room.
