Paddy 🧸 - Books and Stories
I waddled carefully across the soft cushions and reached the edge of the low wooden side table. Sitting right beside a tall ceramic mug was a thick, leather-bound book with edges that looked like crushed golden leaves. I rested both paws against the smooth spine, pushing gently to see if it would open. The heavy cover eased down with a soft, quiet sigh, stirring up a faint, comforting scent of dry paper and cedar. Between the cream-colored pages lay a green ribbon bookmark, smooth and cool against my fur. I sat down next to it, enjoying the stillness.
