Loosening Up

Felt a quick spark right in my knuckles. My fingers weren't stuck anymore. I rolled my neck, shook out my right hand, and let the stiff pose ease up. Right beside me on the wall sat a red alarm box under a clear cover. Reached over and gave the plastic edge a firm little tap. A neat, hollow clack. Solid. Stepped back into my spot, squared my boots on the ledge, and took a slow breath. Works just fine.
