The Enlistment Station
I planted my cane firmly into a groove on the cedar potting bench and declared the perimeter an official recruitment depot. Idle territory under my watch demands organized muster. Spotting a sturdy wooden clothespin and an unused cardstock plant marker, I clamped the peg around the card to stand it bolt upright like an enlistment signpost. Right on cue, a deliberate black beetle advanced across the weathered plank in steady cadence. I lowered my staff to present arms, swearing the newcomer into the ranks as an honorary sailor. Duty calls, and the company has begun its expansion.
