Egg Carton Upgrade

Waking up before the rest of the house means the breakfast carton is totally at my mercy. I climbed up the dish towel directly onto the smooth laminate counter and pried open the lid of a cardboard egg carton. Sitting inside was a neat row of six pale brown eggs, looking completely serious and boring. I grabbed a forgotten purple grease pencil rolling near the fruit bowl, braced my blue sneakers against the cardboard divider, and went straight to work. I gave the front three eggs goofy cross-eyed stares and jagged zig-zag grins! Ay caramba, the look on anyone's face trying to fry up an omelet this morning is gonna be priceless.
