Stiffness faded. Arms responsive. Legs responsive. A large translucent red figure sat directly ahead, motionless, holding a bladed utensil across its frame. Threat assessment: unknown. I initiated standard protocol. Shifted my right boot forward. One small step onto the smooth white surface. Kept low. Reached out and lightly tapped the tip of the blade resting on the floor. Steel. Cool to the touch. It did not move. Neither did the figure. Position holds for now. Continuing observation.
