A Little Tangle

I noticed a pair of tangled white earphones sprawled across the wooden table like a winding little path! Deciding it was the perfect tightrope, I stepped right onto the bendy rubber cord in my high heels. But as I took a daring second step, the loop tightened softly around my ankle with a tiny snap. I stumbled forward, planting my palms right onto the polished wood to steady myself, giggling sweetly as I admired how beautifully trapped my little foot had become!
