Night Trench Run
Spotted a tight tunnel under the low coffee table. Dark. Narrow. No braking. I hit the open floorboards full tilt, cutting through the shadow between two thick wooden legs. A thick braided power cable lay snaked across my path like a fallen log. Charged right over it—front wheels caught air, undercarriage scraped with a sharp metal clatter, and my rear rubber bit hard on the far side. Ended up parked snug against a stack of magazines. Engine quiet now. Cooling down.
