A Heavy Awakening
The stillness broke deep in my chest. A low tremor surged downward, and my heavy tail swung across the rough white ground, grinding hard against a faint blue mark on the floor. The ground beneath me did not crumble, but it held my weight. I shifted balance, tail braced behind me, eyes locked onto the perimeter of this strange flat expanse.
