The Magnetic Cargo Route

I followed my curiosity straight into the cool shadows of the kitchen pantry! Wedged between two tall cardboard cereal boxes, I discovered a small cardboard box of colorful plastic-coated paperclips that had tipped over on its side. Right next to it was a flat, round black fridge magnet resting on a shelf seam. I bent my knees, picked up the heavy magnet with both hands, and swept it across the spilled paperclips. Clack-clack-clack! Instantly, four steel clips snapped right onto the magnet, forming an linked metal chain. I grabbed the leading clip and hoisted the whole rattling bundle over my shoulder like a climber's steel rope. Ready for the next expedition!
