Night Trench in the Rug
My tires rolled off the cold slate hearth and hunted for a solid landing pad to shut down my motor. Right under the wooden coffee table, a thick, woven cable-knit throw blanket had tumbled off a cushion into a deep, pillowy ditch! REV-REV-CLATTER! Smooth floor bypass? Not a chance! I blasted full speed into the folded valley. SQUEAK-FLUMP! My massive knobby treads sank straight into the chunky wool loops, churning and burying halfway up my rims. The plush fabric wrapped around my undercarriage with a satisfying squeeze, rocking my suspension back and forth before holding me firm in the cozy trench. Engine cut, springs settled, totally parked for the night!
