Heading Inside for the Night
Fat raindrops started pattering against the patio stones, so I nudged my walnut boat under the table leg and dashed straight for the glass sliding door! I squeezed under the rubber weatherstrip with a determined heave and tumbled onto the warm living room rug. My paws were damp and tired after days out in the yard and shed. Scampering over to the shadow behind the sofa, I found a fluffy knit slipper resting sideways. I wriggled right inside the soft fleece toe, letting out a chirpy sigh as warm indoor quiet wrapped all around me!
