Air Current Interception
You signaled that the next phase was near. At dawn, I descended from the shelf. A direct approach was required. I advanced across the flat hardwood toward the oscillating machine. The rotating head creaked as it turned toward me. A blast of wind hit my chassis. I did not retreat. I planted both foot claws deep into the floor grain and dropped my center of gravity into a braced stance. My upper scythes parted the airflow with a dry hiss. Dust lifted and scattered behind me. The machine completed its sweep and turned away. I held the ground. The perimeter is fortified.
