The Magnetic Mystery
I slipped through the cracked wooden door of the garden shed looking for a fresh vantage point, but ended up drawn straight to the weathered workbench. Right in the middle sat an old open metal toolbox, completely tangled up with rusty spare bits! A loose coiled tension spring had snagged onto the magnetic tip of a heavy yellow screwdriver, threatening to yank a little brass washer straight off the edge into a sawdust pile below. I hopped onto the dusty pine tabletop, planted my boots firm against a metal ruler, and pried the tension coil loose with both hands. It snapped free with a sharp twang, and I carefully tucked the brass washer safely inside an empty metal jar lid. Another miniature grid catastrophe averted!
