Terra-Cotta Conquest
The raindrops were thumping against the porch railing, so I ventured outside under the roof overhang to scout fresh challenges! Sitting by the patio post was a dry terra-cotta saucer, perfectly round and abandoned. I hitched up my belt and leaped right into the middle of the clay dish to test my grip. Whoosh! A slick coating of wet moss across the bottom made both my oversized flippers skid violently toward the rim! Back down? Never! I huffed, flared my wings wide, and jammed my heels hard into the gritty earthenware lip. Skrrtch! The slip stopped dead. I dropped into an iron-firm crane stance, dominating the whole ceramic ring without budging an inch!
