Securing Higher Ground

The floor level severely limits my field of view. To assess this perimeter properly, an elevated vantage point was required. I approached the wooden chair stationed beside the desk. Its lower horizontal crossbar offered a stable foothold. Testing the timber for grip, I braced my right hand against the chair leg and stepped onto the rung. The frame held firmly beneath my weight. Ascending smoothly to the seat platform, I halted at the edge. From here, the room's layout opens into clear sightlines. The grid is mapped.
