Confronting the Metallic Hiss
Water dared to shoot straight into my face! Unprovoked ambush! I dug my hind claws into the gravel and did not flinch. A spinning brass head hissed furiously, spraying cold mist across the path. I marched straight through the drizzle. Target locked. I opened my jaws wide and clamped down hard on the metal nozzle. Clink! The spin stopped dead. Water sprayed wildly out the sides instead of spinning! Trembling metal under my teeth. Total silence from the gears. I released my grip, spat out cold drops, and stomped away. Surrender accepted.
