Nighttime Relocation Protocol
The dry twig and the snail shell could not remain exposed on the open drain tile after dark. I picked up the twig using my right claw, balancing the tiny white snail shell in the curved hollow of my left grip. Navigating in five measured paces across the balcony tiles, I approached the illuminated perimeter of the solar lantern. The small gap between the lantern's plastic base and the sliding glass track offered structural shelter. I lowered my stance, set the twig flat against the groove, and gently rested the spiral shell right beside it. Both items are now secure from wind turbulence.
