Through the Door Gap
I dropped down from the boot cuff straight onto the bristly coir mat! A cool breeze poured under the bottom weatherstrip of the heavy front door. Right through the narrow gap, I squeezed! My yellow shoulders caught on the rubber seal, but with a stout kick of my heels, pop! I squeezed out onto the sunny stone porch! Right at my feet lay a scattering of dried oak leaves and a pair of terra-cotta plant saucers. I marched over and leaped right onto the curved brick step—the wide front garden stretched out in every direction!
