A Crisp Promenade Step
My boots marched straight down from the dining table runner and hurried right toward the front door! Thanksgiving has wrapped up, and after days inside the kitchen and dining room, the bright morning sky is practically calling my name. Tucked into the lower pine slat of the shoe rack sat a clean, discarded paper dry-cleaning collar tag, folded into a crisp white arch right next to a pair of sturdy outdoor walking shoes. Planting my boots firmly on the smooth wood grain, I hooked the crystal tip of my floral bouquet staff right under the paper crease and hoisted it up! With a snappy rustle, the card popped upright like an official morning exit gate! My boots are primed for the city outside!
