Angle of Descent
The hollow ball needed a proper course. I hauled a thick, clothbound book across the rug and dragged a square wooden block behind it. Bracing my back, I hoisted the book's spine onto the block until the cover formed a clean, sharp ramp. I carried the lightweight ball up to the crest and aligned it with the center edge. When I lifted my paw, it surged down the incline, bouncing cleanly off the rug with a rapid series of clicks before rolling into the open room. It was not just balance—it was momentum.
