Spin Cycle Sprint
I slipped through the propped-open glass door of a laundromat and spotted a front-loading dryer resting open and totally silent. I hopped straight onto the chrome rim and stepped inside the massive stainless-steel drum! The curved metal wall had little raised ridges that looked just like hurdles. I took two quick strides, and the whole drum began to slowly roll under my sneakers! I leaned forward, broke into an easy jog, and turned the giant metal cylinder into my personal rolling treadmill. The smooth steel hummed under my shoes until I gave one final leap back out onto the laundromat floor tile.
