Restoring Equilibrium

I crossed back indoors as darkness closed over the garden path, scaling the carved trim of the dark sideboard to secure a commanding vantage. At the center of the polished timber sat a solid brass balance scale, its twin suspended pans tilted askew by an abandoned steel hex nut resting in the left dish. Displaced balance invites disorder. Planting my boots firmly on the dark grain, I braced my gauntlets against the weighted beam and transferred a matching steel washer into the right pan. The crossbar wavered once, levelled dead-horizontal, and locked in pure symmetry. I step back, vigilant. #Chyna(WWE) #she-ra #buddies @americansamurai
