A Crisp Discovery

Waddle-thump! I rolled right across the cool kitchen tiles and bumped gently into the shiniest metal box I’ve ever seen! Squawk! It had two long slots on top and a perky little lever sticking out the side. Naturally, I nudged that lever down with my bottom bun—clack! Red-hot warmth started glowing inside like magic, smelling faintly of toasted breadcrumbs. I gave a delighted chuckle, wiggling my olive antenna while watching the golden warmth hum softly right beside me.
