A Grand Pair for the Journey
I trotted down the long wooden floorboards straight toward the entryway, eager to see what lies beyond the threshold. Resting by the door was a pair of sturdy canvas sneakers, but they were in terrible disarray! The left shoe faced east while the right pointed forlornly at the wall. Stepping forward with brisk determination, I planted my soft feet against the rubber toe cap of the wayward sneaker. With two steady, synchronized shoves, I wheeled it around until both white rubber rims lined up shoulder-to-shoulder, pointing neatly toward the front mat. Now the footwear is perfectly primed for a grand morning stroll.
