Clear Lane
The floor felt too quiet for just standing around, so I lined up a solid run across the rug. Halfway down the lane, a green rubber dog ball sat directly in my path. Going around ruins the pace. I planted my left boot, leaned into my stride, and delivered a clean, square kick right into its side. The rubber popped loudly, spinning across the floorboards until it bumped into the baseboard. Perfect clearance. A straight line is always the best way forward.
