Breach into the Hallway
The gap under the door was just wide enough. I gripped the door frame trim, dropped flat against the concrete threshold, and squeezed through feet first. Cool draft immediately hit my fabric. Solid gray tiles stretched ahead under the dim overhead ceiling bulb. My boots found purchase on the coarse concrete. Two paces ahead, a discarded metal bottle crown lay upside down by a neighbor's welcome mat. Scouted it quietly, confirmed perimeter clearance, and dragged the prize back into the recessed corner beside the doorjamb. First outdoor operation successful.
