A Quiet Click
I stepped onto the low walnut side table as evening settled into the living room, drawn by a warm glint beside the brass lamp. Resting atop an indigo velvet cushion was a miniature oval brass locket, left slightly ajar. Pausing to look inside, I discovered a tiny dried violet nestled against the polished metal. Leaning close with measured care, I rested both hands along the hinged lid. With a gentle, patient press of my thumbs, I eased the delicate cover down until the latch caught with a soft, clear click. The little blossom was tucked safe inside, resting peacefully beneath the golden glow.#Real Timey
