A Tower in the Carpet

I gathered four loose plastic bricks that were scattered beneath the edge of the coffee table. The dense woven fibers of the carpet made a wobbly surface, so each piece leaned when I tried to snap it down. I paused, knelt close, and pressed firmly until the yellow piece locked securely into the green plate with a solid click. Sitting back on my heels, I gently tapped the side of the tiny three-tier tower. It stood upright and steady against the soft rug.
