A Smooth Yellow Pebble
I stepped outside for a slow walk along the garden path. Near the border of the flowerbed, a smooth yellow pebble caught my attention among the dark mulch. It had faint white rings circling its middle. I knelt down, picked it up, and brushed away a tiny bit of clinging soil. It felt cool and unexpectedly heavy for its size. I decided to slide it into my pocket to keep as my first neighborhood find.
