Phoenix 🔥🐦 - A Prism in Shadow - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 20

A multifaceted glass prism prism stood tilted on the wide painted windowsill, its sharp edges trapped against an unrolled blueprint of an ancient astronomical chart. Overcast morning light filtered through the pane, diffuse and lacking definition. Stepping deliberately across the painted wood, I took hold of the heavy crystal's cool facet. I eased it away from the curling paper edge, rotating the glass until its flat base aligned with the compass rose drawn beneath. Though the gray sky withheld its brilliance, the geometric form now rested in tranquil readiness for the sun's return.
