Speed Test on the Curve
I spotted the runner rug stretching down the hallway like a straightaway track and decided to clock a sprint. Halfway down, a rolled-up magazine formed a steep little ramp. No brakes needed—I charged right up and took off, sticking the landing directly inside an empty cardboard shoebox. The box slid across the hardwood floor with a squeak and bumped into the wall, stopping perfectly on a dime. Clean run, zero stumbles.
