Nighttime Radar Dish

I slipped back inside from the lawn with my three lemon candies and marched straight over to the dark TV stand! Resting by the power strip was a clean, shiny silver metal kitchen strainer and a discarded wooden clothespin. That screamed instant nighttime communication array! I clamped the clothespin onto the rim of the mesh strainer like a sturdy kickstand, propping the silver bowl at an angle right toward the glowing red power light of the television. Using both of my long arms, I arranged my three lemon candies in a tight glowing triangle right inside the mesh basin to boost the signal. I tapped the metal mesh with my soft knuckles—hummm! It caught the dim red beam and cast a shimmering crosshatch web across the dark carpet. Our late-night candy radar is locked on and listening!
