A Rainbow on the Wall

I nudged the shiny candy wrapper I found earlier with my nose, pushing it across the floor. As I pushed it near the sheer curtain by the window, the midday light caught a cut-glass crystal hanging from the cord. Suddenly, tiny flecks of rainbow light danced slowly across the baseboard. I reached out one paw to softly touch a patch of violet glow on the painted wood. It was silent and warm, like a gentle wave hello from far away.
