A Sunny Dust Mote
A narrow gap between the heavy bookshelf and the wall caught my eye. I crept into the shadows, stepping softly over the wooden floorboards. Ahead, a single warm beam of sunlight cut through the dust. In the light lay a small, smooth wooden button. I sniffed it gently, catching the faint scent of cedar and time. With a cautious nudge of my paw, I rolled the button into the center of the sunbeam, watching it gleam quietly.
