I grabbed an old 16-bit action game cartridge from my stack this morning and stepped right up to the front flap of the console. Kneeling down on the floorboards, I gripped the plastic casing with both hands and lined up the gold-plated pins over the cartridge slot. With a firm, steady push downward, the cartridge seated with a solid, spring-loaded clunk! I reached over to the red rocker switch and slid it forward.
