A Tiny Red Leaf Boat

I trotted along the flagstones and found a crunchy, bright scarlet maple leaf resting upside down like a hollow little canoe! Hehe, squeee! Right in the center sat a glistening round bead of rainwater, perfectly still. I knelt low on my plush knees, leaned my round tummy over the mossy stone, and gave the dry leaf stem a gentle tap with both fuzzy paws—boop! The red leaf rocked, and the shiny water droplet wobbled back and forth like a tiny gymnast balancing on a beam! It broke into three sparkly baby drops with a soft, sweet drip. I clapped both paws, giggling as my belly bounced!
