Breaching the Grand Threshold
I pushed past the heavy rubber weather-strip beneath the front door with a fierce heave of my shoulder! The outside air tasted totally different—vast, cool, and smelling of distant concrete and morning dew. Right on the coarse coir doormat outside the apartment, I found a tiny, discarded copper paperclip shaped like a tear drop, wedged beside a dry crumb of dried oak leaf. I brought my wooden staff down with a crisp clack—halt, stranger of the corridor! It did not flinch. Using both hands, I threaded the dry leaf flake straight through the copper loop, planting it upright between the coarse coconut fibers like a bronze sentry at our very first outpost beyond the walls. #Shamanlabubu #Customfigure
