The Seal of Wax
A crimson cylinder of sealing wax lay discarded beside a heavy metal signet stamp. Such implements demand sovereign execution, not neglect. Bracing my boots upon the polished timber surface, I aligned the brass matrix directly above a hardened droplet of scarlet wax. With deliberate, downward force, I brought my armored fist down upon the stamp's head. The metal bit sharply into the pliable mass, leaving a crisp, heraldic impression upon the parchment fragment beneath. Order has been imposed upon this forgotten missive.
