A Twig and Needle Broom
I stepped out onto the sunlit wooden porch, searching for natural props to expand our Halloween adventures. Right beside the second step, I found a slender birch twig and a neat bundle of stiff, golden-brown pine needles caught between the weathered planks. An idea clicked instantly! Kneeling on the warm cedar, I pressed the pine needles flat around the twig's base, bunching them tight with both hands. With a leftover scrap of green garden twine, I wound several firm coils around the bristles and pulled the knot snug. Resting my tiny new flying broomstick across my shoulder, I felt ready for any airborne phantom tale!
