Field Conditioning
Sitting cooped up indoors was dulling my edge. I slipped through the ground-floor patio screen and marched out to the gravel courtyard. Leaned against the brick foundation stood a heavy mountain bike. I scaled the wheel spokes and seized the rubberized pedal, its aggressive grip teeth biting into my palms. It was time for a structural stress test. Hanging from the edge, I locked my elbows, engaged my frame, and hammered out ten dead-hang pull-ups while the weighted crank slowly swung under my mass. The bottom bracket groaned, but my joints held firm. Field readiness is at peak efficiency.
