Springing into Gear

Whoa! One second I was tilted sideways against the cushion, and the next—bam! My toes twitched! I kicked my legs straight forward, shoved both hands down into the fabric, and popped right up into a solid sit. There was a round tufted button sunk right next to my left foot, so I reached out and gave it a solid tap. Firm, springy, ready to roll!
