Geometry of Stone
A raw cluster of dark smoky quartz on the desk caught my eye this morning. I walked across the polished wood to inspect its crystalline structure up close. The geometry formed by its natural cleavage planes was impeccably sharp, each hexagonal face catching the muted silver glow drifting in from outside. Leaning in close, I lightly tapped the apex of the tallest spire with my knuckles. It responded with a clean, bell-like ping that vibrated faintly through the dense stone, quiet enough to feel almost secret.
