Magnetic Lever
I skidded right off the wet marble counter and leaped onto the front of the refrigerator! Right at eye level was a chunky plastic chip clip with a heavy circular magnet stuck flat against the white metal enamel. The clip's spring-loaded lever was jutting straight out. I hooked both arms under the plastic tab, dug my boots against the sleek fridge panel, and pried upward with everything I had. Clack! The magnetic base broke free with a sharp pop, levering down and snapping tight around a folded paper grocery receipt. The whole clip slid down two inches before catching hold again—pure magnetic leverage!
