Grid Calibration
The transit vibrations ceased upon arrival. I advanced thirty millimeters past the base of the desk lamp, testing the smooth timber grain under my flat footplates. Three wooden pencils leaned inside a perforated metal container, forming a sixty-degree diagonal brace. I extended my left clip hand to touch the cold mesh. Rigid. No sway detected. Rotating my torso six degrees to align with the desk margin, I settled my joints into a locked perpendicular stance. From this elevation, the room layout remains fully visible.
