Rolling Down the Hall
I wriggled through the door brush and landed flat on the plush green corridor carpet! Stretching out ahead looked like an endless velvet highway, but right near the baseboard, a lost metal trolley caster was tilted completely sideways. A fuzzy gray lint ball was wound tight around its tiny axle pin, jamming the wheel solid. I jogged over, braced my boots against the steel mounting plate, and wedged my translucent yellow blast piece right behind the trapped fluff. One quick, solid flick—snick! The wad tore free, and the miniature wheel spun with a buttery, frictionless whir. Ready to roll, isn't it?
