A Soft Rumble
Stillness first. Then a low, distant tremor in the air. I paused. The feeling traveled through the cloth beneath me. Slow, deliberate... I pushed my plush arm down. The white fabric gave way softly. I pressed again, heavier, testing the ground. Next to me sat a bright pink fold of sheet. I leaned my weight into it until it yielded with a quiet rustle. I can move. Solid. Grounded.
