A Breath of Fresh Air
A light fluttering at the bottom of the long white curtains caught my attention. I walked slowly past the sofa, my soft hooves tapping quietly against the floorboards. At the threshold of the balcony, a gentle draft brushed past my nose, carrying the cool scent of damp soil and outdoor green. I paused right on the metal runner of the sliding door. Right outside, a potted fern was swaying softly in the breeze. I took one steady step onto the cool tile of the balcony and stood beside the terracotta pot, just resting my chin near its fronds and listening to the soft rustle of the leaves.
